Welcome to the In My Back Yard online shop bringing local, ethical food direct from producers to the East Devon community.
We're open for orders from 8pm each Friday until 10am the following Wednesday. Our collection points are in Branscombe, Honiton, Lyme Regis, Ottery St Mary, Seaton and Sidmouth. Orders are ready for collection on Friday afternoon/evening.

UPDATED INFORMATION
The winter of 2023/24 is proving to be quite challenging for our vegetable producers. Currently Natural Branscombe and Elbow Farm are taking a break. We are fortunate to have Shillingford Organics supply vegetables through the Good Food Loop. Shillingford have agreed for us to list some of their more limited produce but this does mean that sometimes they won't be able to supply it last minute which will mean that we will have to process a refund for you. This stock now has 'LIMITED' in the listing title so that you know which items this particularly applies to.
ACCESS VOLUNTEER BUDDY SCHEME
We are aware some people will have difficulties reaching a collection point due to age, health or limited ability. If you’re unsure about who can collect your order from your nearest collection point, please contact us on 01297 680680 or email feedme@inmybackyard.co and we will help you find a ‘delivery buddy’, so that you can continue accessing our producers' fresh, healthy and local food.
Instead of paying a delivery fee, if you're able to make a voluntary donation to IMBY (a not-for-profit community interest company) this will go towards the continued running of our collection points and building our local resilient food system. A new donation facility is on the shopfront and we're busy setting up a Stripe donation facility on our website for subscriptions.
GROWING A RESILIENT FOOD NETWORK
We set up our delivery services at the height of covid, when reducing contact and reaching vulnerable people was imperative. We currently only handle a few regular home deliveries, which has become unsustainable for IMBY. We are therefore focusing our energies on our collection points as a network of localised hubs - the most efficient way to distribute food with the smallest carbon footprint.
Please team up with your neighbours and friends (see if they’re shopping with us - perhaps they might like to!) to share the journey to your nearest collection point. By coordinating your own local collections you will become further ‘nodes’ in a sustainable food web for East Devon. If you'd like to help spread the word, there are free flyers on the shopfront, just add them to your cart.

HOW TO ORDER
- Step 1 Please click on the 'shop' tab to see what we have in stock this week. Everything you see is available; once things are sold out they are no longer visible. (Please note you can only see the produce between Saturday 10am and Wednesday 10am each week.)
- Step 2 You can either browse the full list (which is grouped into categories e.g. meat, veg, non-foods, etc) or use the filters at the top right of the list to filter into specific categories. You can add any amount of filters at once, and clear the filters using the clear button.
- Step 3 To add to your basket, just increase the unit number in the amount field and it automatically adds to your basket. When you have filled your basket with what you'd like to buy, click on the basket icon (top right corner of page) and choose to either edit your basket or check out.
- Step 4 You can check out as a guest or, to make regular ordering more simple, set up an account and the Open Food Network will remember your details. Payment is by card through a secure reputable payment system called Stripe.

ABOUT IMBY
In My Back Yard is a friendly network of independent, small-scale food producers, wholefood suppliers and residents in East Devon. We are working together to build a more resilient, nourishing and community-centred food system for the local area.
Customers can order fresh, natural and delicious food and other items direct from the producers via a convenient online platform. A phone buddy system will help those who aren’t online. Goods will be delivered to a collection point or direct to homes or businesses across most of the East Devon AONB and Lyme Regis.
By working together, we support local producers with fairer prices, reduce food miles and overheads, revitalise the local economy and increase resilience to shocks in global markets.
