Blackbirds Micro Bakery
Welcome to Blackbirds Micro Bakery!
We are a family-run home micro-bakery in Handsworth Wood. We bake real sourdough bread, cakes, brownies, cookies, and more to order for collection and delivery. Our award-winning sourdough is made with no artificial additives, preservatives or dough improvers. We're members of the Bread Angels Network of Micro Bakers, are proud to support The Real Bread Campaign and have the Loaf Mark and Sourdough Loaf Mark.
We currently attend seasonal markets within the West Midlands area. Follow our socials to see which markets we will be attending in 2024. Pre-orders will be available for select markets. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook @blackbirdsmicrobakery.
We also supply cupcakes, cookies, traybakes, classic cakes and celebration cakes for parties and events for collection. Please email us at nest@blackbirdsmicrobakery.com for further information/quotations. We require two-weeks notice for orders and invoices will be sent for full payment prior to collection.
Allergen information for individual products is contained in the product information. Please be aware that all of our products are made in a kitchen that handles celery, cereals (containing gluten), crustaceans, egg, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame, soya and sulphur dioxide/sulphites. We try our best to prevent cross-contamination but traces may be present so our products may not be suitable for allergy sufferers.
Our business is registered and insured. We have a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 (May 2023). We have training in Food Safety and Hygiene Training, Allergen Awareness and Prevention of COVID-19.
Collection orders are available to pick up from our enclosed porch. We will place your order on the shelf in our porch for your agreed collection time. This will be labelled with your name. The porch door will be shut but unlocked.
