Stourton Estates is a family run business situated north of Horncastle on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. We have farmed the land on the estate since the 1920’s and are mainly an arable farm with livestock playing an increasingly important role here with herds of Red Deer happily living in the parkland and woodland.

We take great care of the environment that we operate within, encouraging wildlife and we are very proud of the diverse range of species that live on the estate.

Over the last 20 years we have diversified our business into a number of other areas, whilst carefully restoring the old Stourton Estate, (previously home to the Livesey family) and responsibly managing the woodland, lakes, and creating rides and safe access for visitors.

Our Products

We use timber from the estate and other locally sourced Lincolnshire woodlands to produce high quality kiln dried logs, woodchip (suitable for play surfaces) and a range of landscape products including garden bark. We also produce super healthy, high quality frozen venison and fresh venison produced from our herds of red deer.

Events

We open our doors and hold a number of very popular events and visits each year in the beautiful historical parkland and woodland setting which is home to herds of majestic Red Deer. We are dog friendly and we welcome well behaved and responsibly managed dogs on leads to all our events. We offer guided walks and visits to groups and schools and have supported the now Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival (previoulsy the Wolds walking festival) over the last 10 years. We run tractor & trailer tours (otherwise known as Deer Safaris!) to get up close and personal to the red deer. We also hold open days, camping weekends, Artisan Markets as well as our magical Enchanted Woodland Lights annually in November.

With our beautiful safari tent nestled within the woodland setting of the aboretum we offer a unique venue to host woodla nd weddings, private functions, corporate events, private parties and lots more!
