Order Cycles

Open Food Network shops use "order cycles" to organise the available products, usually with a fixed delivery date. We usually have one or two open order cycles at any time: one, "next day after order", is permanently open and corresponds to the stock I have currently in my freezers available for you to buy at any time; the other will be for pre-ordering meat from the next animal going to slaughter - this will have a fixed delivery date when it will be ready (after hanging, butchery and packing). Any meat unsold in the pre-order cycle gets frozen and changes description accordingly. When you look at the shop screen you can only see one order cycle at a time and the stock available within it - use the "choose when you want your order" selector on the right hand side to switch between them. For convenience I also show the frozen stock in the pre-order cycle so if you order both frozen and chilled meat just let me know whether you want it delivered / collected separately or together.

Meat Prices

Meat prices are by weight so the item prices shown here are approximate as the pack sizes will vary a little bit. Your invoice will show the exact amounts (and weights) of the items once I've picked them for you.

Frozen Meat

I freeze any meat which has not been allocated to an order on the day after I get it back from the butcher. The use by dates on frozen meat will then be from when the meat was fresh - the standard advice is to use it within six months of the date shown.
